The Wanch is one of the best pubs in the World. It is the venue for live music every night of the week, and on Sundays this pub becomes a playground for people who just like a quiet afternoon pint with their best mate, that is until the now legendary Sammy takes the stage at around 6pm armed only with his trusty gibson guitar, a drum machine, and the legions of budding stars who entrust their future singing careers to Sammy and his infallible ear for peoples feeble attempts to belt out hits, past and present.

The man himself ..SAMMY..The Wanch has been open now for 9 years, quite an acheivement in a town such as Hong Kong, in which bars come and go with a change of season!! Out of those 9 years Sammy has been there for the majority, and has become somewhat of an institution especially with the thousands of Filipinas who are resident here in H.K. Ask him any hit song in the last 10 years, from Pink Floyd to Oasis, and the chances are he'll know it...as I found out to my cost one drunken sunday....!
