The following is a press release from the Press Club Centre within the first week of opening.
Two visionary Frenchmen, the Merlin brothers, have joined forces with the Cultural House of the Association of Vietnamese Journalists to launch the Press Club, a centre for business and leisure activities located in the centre of Ha Noi. Opened on the 1st of November 1997, this extraordinary undertaking revives a link to the history of Viet Nam, threading journalism and current world communication networks to provide the ultimate business interaction venue.
Foreseeing the economic growth of Ha Noi, and the need to provide conference and business facilities of and international standard, the Press Club has been developed to fill this market niche. A five star establishment, the Press Club is a fusion of old world elegance with state of the art business, convention and entertainment facilities. Offering the spectrum of venues and services demanded by discerning executives, local and international corporations and the media, the Press Club offers a one stop, full package business and leisure experience. It is this synergy that serves the Press Club as a viable destination for business orientated individuals within the region.
The design of this distinctive seven level structure, totalling 4,200 sq. metres, was influenced by the local French architecture and captures the essence of Ha Noi in it's entirety. A clear step away from the international hotels, every aspect of the Press Club has been meticulously designed to the highest standards of luxury, utilising rare woods, custom designed furniture and the finest soft furnishings, recreating the atmosphere of elegance, charm and calm refinement, which has long been associated with the old Ha Noi.
Innovative, yet discreet, the Press Club blends the fundamental aspects of Vietnamese culture with the most advanced audio visual, information systems and conference technology. With it's full service conference facilities and business centre, the Press Club can offer a range of services, from a 180 seating capacity in the conference room, hosting lectures, seminars or press conferences, to the unique facility of "virtual offices" for individuals on short or long term assignments. The business centre provides efficient secretarial and personalised computer support as well as a full range of meeting and concierge services.
Food and beverage facilities set new standards for gourmet dining in Viet Nam. A fine dining restaurant and a casual outdoor terrace and bar offer calm and intimate surroundings along with modern Mediterranean cuisine and the finest wines. After dinner, ports and cigars can be taken in the library bar which exudes an old world elegance and features the first purpose built cigar humidor in Viet Nam. For casual all day dining, The Deli, influenced by the growing coffee culture and cafe scene, offers a warm and rustic environment, in which to enjoy traditional Italian style fare.
With no aspect of business or pleasure overlooked, the Press Club is destined to be the prestigious business and social hub of Ha Noi.
