The EM75 XL was created as a response to the community’s request for a larger classic diver watch. As the name suggests, the EM75 XL is an upsized diver, measuring 3mm wider and a third of a millimeter thicker.

Rather than recreate the popular diver design on a larger canvas, the design was tweaked, with bar hour markers and a 60-unit scale bezel that was devoid of a lume pip. The spear-shaped hour and minute hands and lollipop seconds hand are also hallmarks of the design. Above all, it maintains the signature diver features, including a unidirectional diver-style bezel, 200m of water resistance, strong lume, and a screwed case back, to name a few. The modern design of the Sentinel is what really makes this watch stand out. For instance, the dial employs a concentric pattern in the center that transitions into a sunburst finish along the outer edge. This creates a neat reflection effect, and allows light to catch the dial in a truly unique way. The hands also play a role in the uniqueness of the design, with a cut out rectangular hour hand opposite a broad minute hand. The numbering around the dial and the tip of the second hand are contrasting green color.

The modest 40.5mm size of the Sentinel makes it instantly wearable for most. The case is mostly brushed stainless steel, a the caseback features an exhibition window for viewing the movement. The Sentinel is one of the first Orient models to be powered by the new caliber F6722 movement, which is automatic and can be hand-wound.
